This fascinating tour is a great introduction to these three beautiful capital cities. Often referred to as the “Imperial Triangle” because of their historical past, each city has however still retained its unmistakable character.

Day 1/2

Arrival and dinner at your hotel.

During a sightseeing tour you will receive a general view of “the city of a hundred spires”. You will see the most important sights, for example Wencelas Square, the National Theatre, the Lesser Town and Hradcany with Prague Castle, Charles’ Bridge, the former Jewish district and the Old Town Square.

Day 3/4

Now get to know Budapest! Close to the City Park, you will see Heroes’ Square and Vajdahunyad Castle. Travelling back towards the city centre you will pass by the synagogue in the Dohány Street and St Stephan’s Basilica. See the Parliament building on the banks of the Danube. The tour then continues to the castle district in the area of Buda, where Matthew’s Church, the Fishermen’s Bastion and the Citadel are located and from where you have a spectacular view over the whole of the city.

Day 5/6

A morning’s sightseeing tour of Vienna: During this tour, you will see the most important buildings along the Ringstrasse, such as the State Opera House, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Imperial Palace, the Parliament and the City Hall. The tour will also take you to the other side of the Danube, where you will see the UNO City and the modern side of Vienna. To learn more about Austria’s imperial past, and especially about Franz Joseph I and Sisi, the best place to visit is the Hofburg Palace with the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum and the dazzling Silver Collection. One of Vienna’s most iconic landmarks is the Riesenrad, the Giant Ferris Wheel, built in 1897 by an Englishman. Admire the view as you take your turn.

Why not include a stop at Bratislava on the way from Budapest to Vienna? Though not quite as grand as the other cities on this tour, Slovakia’s capital is definitely worth a visit. Another way to enhance the tour is to include a typical evening meal at each of the Three Golden Capitals – folklore evenings with delicious food, music and dancing that are sure to be a memorable experience!
